Free, public tours of some of Bellingham’s most valuable natural resources start in Sept.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whatcom, Squalicum, and Padden Creeks are among Bellingham’s most valuable local natural resources, bringing life to local salmon populations and fresh water to Bellingham Bay. Each stream has a rich, unique history and a story to tell.<\/p>\n

This September, the community is invited to three tours where you’ll learn how these vital waterways have changed over time, what the City of Bellingham is doing to help protect them for the future, and how you can help.<\/p>\n

Squalicum Creek Tour:<\/strong> Meet at the Sunset Pond Park<\/a> at 6 p.m.<\/span><\/span> on Thursday, Sept. 7<\/span><\/span>.
\nFeaturing information on the Squalicum Creek Re-route habitat restoration project.<\/em><\/p>\n

Padden Creek Tour: <\/strong>Meet near the pavilion in Fairhaven Park<\/a> at 6 p.m.<\/span><\/span> on Thursday, Sept. 14<\/span><\/span>.
\nFeaturing information on the Padden Creek Daylighting and Padden Estuary habitat restoration projects.<\/em><\/p>\n

Whatcom Creek Tour:<\/strong> Meet at the lower Civic Athletic Complex Parking lot at the corner of Fraser and Puget<\/a>\u00a0 6 p.m.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Thursday, Sept. 21<\/span><\/span>.
\nFeaturing information on the Red Tail Reach and Cemetery Creek habitat restoration projects.<\/em><\/p>\n
