{"id":638,"date":"2012-05-14T22:18:16","date_gmt":"2012-05-15T05:18:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whatcomwomenwalkers.org\/?p=638"},"modified":"2012-05-14T22:28:03","modified_gmt":"2012-05-15T05:28:03","slug":"guided-walktour-of-wwu-outdoor-scuptures-june-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/whatcomwomenwalkers.org\/?p=638","title":{"rendered":"Guided Walking Tour of WWU Outdoor Sculptures \u2013 June 13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We will\u00a0have a guided tour of campus outdoor\u00a0sculptures led by Sarah Clark-Langagah, the University Gallery curator.\u00a0 We will leave from the student union<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0Promptly<\/span>\u00a0at 8:30 am.\u00a0 The tour will be 1-11\/2 hours.\u00a0 The sculptures are all over the campus so we will get a good walk as well.\u00a0 If you have not seen all of the sculptures there are many interesting pieces, some from world renown artists. \u00a0Check out the\u00a0WWU\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/westerngallery.wwu.edu\/sculpture.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">website <\/a>for a preview.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee in the library or the student union will follow the tour.<\/p>\n<p>Park or Ride: Of course parking is an issue but not a blockade.\u00a0 A few cars can park at Carola &amp; Karen&#8217;s, and Jeanne Uhles will have passes to park on the street in front of her house. \u00a0Contact her and plan to arrive early to make use of her on-the-street parking. \u00a0Bus info: The WTA leaves the Lincoln St. Park and Ride on the hour and the half hour.\u00a0 \u00a0You arrive across from the student union in 13 minutes.\u00a0 You would need to catch the 8 am to be at the student union on time.
