Special Walk in Anacortes
Set for Monday, April 18, 2016 – special walk along the Tommy Thompson Trail in Anacortes
We will start at the Cap Sante Marina in downtown Anacortes and turn around at March Point near the oil refineries. The last part of the walk is across the old railroad trestle with views of Fidalgo Bay, the surrounding islands, aquatic birds, and Mt. Baker, if it’s clear.
Trail stats: 6.6 miles RT, zero elevation gain, and 3 public restrooms along the way.
Meet at Sehome Shopping Center by 8:15 for an 8:30 departure. Park along the east side of the parking lot closest to 36th Street in front of Haggens and Rite Aid.

Docent Tour at Lightcatcher Museum
Walkers are invited to a private docent tour on Friday, December 5, starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Lightcatcher Museum. There will be a ½ hour tour of the Leo Adams: Eastern Light exhibit that Alfred Arkley will lead, followed by approximately ½ hour in the Northwest Designer Craftsmen exhibit led by Joan Ofteness
This exhibit includes over 140 objects by 90 different artists and the tour will touch on just a small sampling. The exhibit runs through January 4, 2015.
Cost of the tour is $6.00 for those who are not museum members and there is no cost to museum members.
