Walking friends put on the gloves and pitched in to clear invasive blackberries along the Lower Padden Creek/Interurban Trail. In a short time, the barrels were full of the thorny plants.
A special walk is planned on Monday, Oct. 19 in Crescent Beach, near White Rock, BC. The outing will include about an hour loop walk on a level coastal trail in Crescent Beach with views of Vancouver – if the day is clear. The trail includes a stretch by the sea, some wetlands, a bird sanctuary and a stroll through town. After the walk, we can drive to White Rock (10 minutes or so) for lunch, a walk on the pier or a visit to the museum.
Participants will meet in the Safeway Parking lot on Sunset at 9:30 am.
Interested walkers should contact Marybeth.
