Welcome

Welcome to the Whatcom Walking Friends’ Website

We are a group of friends who enjoy organized walks in the Bellingham area on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:00 AM.  Walks are usually an hour in length and wrap up at a coffee shop. This is a casual group and you can just show up and introduce yourself if you wish to walk with us.  Special walks may be organized occasionally and participants need to RSVP for those activities.  We also perform trail maintenance in our local parks from time to time.

Go to the Schedule page for a calendar and additional information about the walks.

Sometimes it seems to be uphill all the way!

Hiking

Our hiking season extends from April/May through October depending on the weather. Hikes are longer and more challenging outings led by leaders in our group.

Special Walks

We plan special walks to places of interest in town and further afield – even to foreign lands where English is still spoken.

Thanks to our members for organizing our special walks to explore the area!
