Trail Stewardship in Fairhaven

WF at Work - Thanks for Pitching In!
Thanks for pitching in!
Walking Friends pitched in to spread mulch along the trail near Harris Street & Padden Creek’s entry to the bay where the invasive ivy had been removed.  Thank you to Dianne Davis for for organizing the project with the Parks Department who supplied all equipment and the big load of mulch.
Thanks to Elaine Cress for photographing the work party.

Hiking Season Kick-off Meeting

Those interested in hiking with the group are invited to this important meeting at the REI Community Room at 10:15 AM on Friday, April 10th.  Kay and Harriet will share the schedule for the year and new tips for the trails.

Following our hiking business, we will have a presentation by an REI staff person about First Aid for Day Hikers.  Bring your first aid kits and find out what you might need to be better prepared for mishaps.
